All that seems to be available at above link - (for the ship "Rimutaka" - July 1885 - mentioned previously in this thread), is a list of crew members (only).

There’s this one in 1885

Rimutaka, arriving Wellington July from London via Auckland, but seems odd they would be getting off there if he went gum digging.
But possible. Timing is good for marriage mid May

Hi Mckha

Have to say, I think your choice of voyage, above, is the most likely.   ;)

Problem is, apart from lists printed in various newspapers, there appears to be no "official" passenger list for this sailing of  the "Rimutaka".        (She had been in NZ  earlier in 1885 also ... and there is a passenger list for that voyage.)    "Rimutaka" (July arrival, 1885) does not show up in Archives NZ's listings (which sort of tells me, there isn't one).  :(

I checked "Petone Settlers database" at Wellington - they have Mr and Mrs FRANKS arriving 1885 {"Rimutaka") BUT ... source of that information is the "Evening Post" - 13 July 1885 newspaper report.   [Wellington City Library possibly has additional lists or info ... but heritage stuff is all packed away out of reach due to earthquake damage to now vacated library building.]

Two passenger lists published 9 July 1885 - "Auckland Star"  ... and "NZ Herald" (the more comprehensive of the two).    Neither mention, FRANKS though ?
When I checked these articles further, I noticed the "Second class" passengers were missing -  (the FRANKS were apparently in that, group.)

A bit more digging turned up this  >>

https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/TAN18850704.2.12

Shipping and Passenger Notes :    .... the "Rimutaka" passenger list is a wretched one ...
And there at the bottom is listed "Mrs FRANKS"    ???

Are those other passengers on the Rimutaka on the newspaper link I posted to be found on the Petone database?

I see Dees own tree on Ancestry has the first child being born in Masterton, so that makes more sense with an arrival in Wellington. And yes, in the second cabin.

"Rimutaka" to Auckland - arrived 7th July 1885

.... was going to say, as the vessel unloaded cargo at Auckland, always possible the FRANKS left the ship at that port, then headed further North ?

But the following could put paid to that notion, perhaps ???

https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/newspapers/AS18850702.2.10

... Mr O. Mays, Immigration officer ... has not yet received any information about immigrants ... probable the vessel would bring none for this port.

[Note:   Wonder if passengers paying their own fares, would be included in the Immigration officer's take ???  ]

Had you not noticed that the link I gave has Mr & Mrs Franks on it?

There is a Walter H Franks in Greytown.  Wondering if he is any relation or even the same man?

Added...no, he is a different man. But he isn’t the one on the Rimutaka, as in Greytown before that.

Yes ...  I had noticed ... Mr and Mrs FRANKS ... in your earlier post.

Just pointing out that only the name ... Mrs FRANKS ... appeared in the newspaper report ("Te Aroha News").     ;D
And of course there are all sorts of spelling mistakes/variations in these newspaper passenger lists.
[The child born on the "Rimutaka" to Dr and Mrs Menzies was reported as a daughter.   The Menzies placed a newspaper notice recording the birth of a son !! ]
