I am looking for descendants or Patrick Connolly who was born around the beginning of 1862, please find below all the information about him.
Patrick Connolly
Born in the Townland of Coolkill
Parish of Kinawley
Nr. Derrylin, Co Fermanagh

Baptised in St Ninnidh’s Catholic Church, Parish of Knockninny
21st January 1862

He was a School teacher at either Derrybrick school or Garvary School

The story we heard was he had allowed his school to be used for some political meeting and that other political group did not approve of the school to be used for this use and he had to make a quick exit from Ireland and he took a boat out of Ireland possibly over to America.

I have been told that his sister Mary who had emigrated to New Zealand in 1890, had arranged a job for him there in NZ or in Australia, but he did not arrive.

His father was Michael Connolly
His mother was Ellen Connolly (nee McManus)

His siblings (brothers and sisters) were
Thomas-James (Jim), Hugh, Michael, Mary, Denis and Jane.

Hugh died in 1917. He did not leave a will. PRONI has a probate file for him. Abstract as follows:

Administration of the Estate of Hugh Connolly late of Coolkill County Fermanagh Farmer who died 19 February 1917 granted at Armagh to Anne Connolly the Widow

Annie Connolly remains listed in the Valuation revision records as the occupant of that farm in Coolkill  till at least 1929 (which is when those records finish).
