I'm trying to trace details of a second marriage between Harry Lockwood Shaw, b. March 1890 in Ashton-under-Lyne, m. first time to Doris Mary Hulme (b. 22 Sep 1898 in Ashton-under-Lyne) 4 January 1920 in Ashton-under-Lyne and second time to Jane Isabella Evans (b. 1898).
The first marriage ended in divorce; Divorce Court File: 7545 (1930)
Reference: J 77/2827/7545
Description: Divorce Court File: 7545. Appellant: Harry Lockwood Shaw. Respondent: Doris Mary Shaw. Co-respondent: Murdock Ross Davidson. Type: Husband's petition for divorce [HD]. Date: 1930
Harry was well travelled globally and the second marriage might well have occurred outside of the UK, although he often visited South Africa and eventually settled there with his second wife.
