Hi everyone, I wonder if you can help? I am struggling to find the death record of my 2 x Great Grandfather in the civil registration death index. I have found his burial record in the ‘ Norfolk, England, Church of England Deaths and Burials, 1813-1990’. His name was William Page, born in 1855, he died on the 7th July 1918 and was buried in Edgefield, July 13th 1918. His burial record says he was 64 but his gravestone says 63. At the time of death, he was living in Doughton, Norfolk.

The information given when a death is registered is only as good as the knowledge of the person giving it. This is often the reason why age at death and actual age can be out by a year or more.

If he was the William Page Births Dec 1855 Chesterton 3b 419

He would have been 62 when he died
