Mother hard to read maybe Alice Dougbury???

Born Burton on Trent

Mother Maria Matkin

Mary Pott—-possibly Thomas’s sister
Richard Collins —- No idea but they’re was Collins living in the Emerson area where they met

So no middle name ?  Just on the 1901 census - birth date a little faded on that census ??

Mary Pott would be Elizabeth's sister
Mary Pott married James Benjamin Froom 16 December 1897 Franklin Manitoba.

They lived in Provencher Manitoba on the 1901 census

Mary Froom   21 born 13 August 1879. Imm 1892.

I can see Richard Collins - 1901 Provencher Manitoba

Richard Collins   30 born England. 17 November 1870.  Imm 1888. Drugs ?

Thanks.... Any suggestions on next step. I have messaged all remaining elder family members asking if they remember any other little details about what others may have said about Thomas. I found a old letter that my mom had from a cousin of hers and they quoted “ Never heard from their dad after their mother passed away, and family never spoke about him.”  Unfortunately very odd but common back then.

Can't get the mothers maiden name, tried a few alternatives.
Do you think you could copy, just crop the parents names John Mason and ???? and attach it to the
handwriting, deciphering and recognition board asking if they can analyse the mothers maiden name ?
It might help us ?
