James Johnston born 1855 in Kilwaughter, Antrim; his extended family.
« on: Monday 01 March 21 02:01 GMT (UK) »
James was my great-grandfather who came to New Zealand, as did his older brother William John and his sister Mary Logan, who became a McFaul. His eldest brother was Patrick, who married Agnes Gordon, and he had younger brothers Thomas and Daniel of whom I know nothing.
Their parents were John (1816 - 1870) and Agnes (nee Logan) (1818 - 1908).
I have most the details of the New Zealand families and Patrick's immediate family but nothing of Thomas and Daniel and would appreciate any help I can get.
Regards
Roger Johnston

Roger,

You have put this post on the how to use Rootschat board. You should ask a Moderator to move it to the Co. Antrim board.

There’s a tree on Ancestry (jandcgenealogy) that has this family. 9 children including Thomas Logan Johnston who reportedly died in Geraldine, Canterbury NZ on 25.9.1921. The tree doesn’t have a Daniel but it does have a Donald who died in Waipukarau, Hawke’s Bay NZ on 12th April 1941. He married Isabella Young in NZ in 1900.
