I am trying hard to sort out the Leacocks from Motalee. Thomas was born about 1766 in Motalee and died Apr 23, 1847 in Motalee. He had sons Hugh about 1792 and John Apr 16, 1813 but I am sure there were many more children. Thomas's wife was Sarah Ewing and there is a marriage notation for them in Desertmartin Parish Church to the effect that they were married before Oct 22, 1794 along with the names of many others. I am guessing that the minister was not keeping the books as he should and this was a catch up list. None of the children were baptised there but was it a case of the minister not documenting the baptisms or were they baptised elsewhere.
Anyway any help with an obit for Thomas or further info about him would be greatly appreciated.
thank you. Also would be great to know if Sarah died before or after him. She was born about 1770 on Motalee Rd. (well, probably not really on the road, but you know what I mean).
