Thanks for letting us know Trystan, such sad news. My condolences to his Family and friends. He will never know just how many people benefitted from his help, directly or indirectly. You don't need to have asked him the question to have benefitted from his answers.
A great loss to RootsChat.
RIP Chris.

Chris was one of our first members

Always sad to hear the passing of someone with so much knowledge , but at least his memory lives on with everyone he has helped over the years  :)

RIP Chris, he is one of the first people I spoke to on here when I joined RC in September 2004. He may have been the first as I joined and posted in the Sussex board about my Walder ancestors.

Sad news.

Hello Rootschatters... Was so sorry to see that Chris had passed... He left a lovely legacy of his work & time transcribing and creating databases with cemetery information.
So many Rootschatters gone & missed over the years! Hugs to all of you helpful people who give so much of your time & effort to help lighten the load for other searchers!   Stay safe & well. J.J.
