Yes, I saw that page, and the 162 page index, with his name on it too.  Hoping the original is still with his 2nd wife!  I will find out sometime soon!  Luckily she still lives in Kirkcaldy, as does my cousin, which simplifies things!

Well the John came from the index of Naturalisations in 1973, I didnt know it until then, though Jane (my cousin) did. I assume it is anglicised, I am hoping to see a photocopy of his birth certificate, and even better , (fingers crossed), his naturalisation papers, for more information, in the documents his wife is going to lend Jane.  I am awaiting more info, not exactly patiently!!!
