Copervan?

I wonder if anyone can help with this placename. This is from Familysearch, I don't have subscriptions to A-y or FindMyPast.       https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X9T3-84K

Samuel Mcminn states on the 1901 Census that he was born at ' Inland Copervan Ireland Ct Down Ref' There could a fault with transcription, or likely the enumerator couldn't quite understand Samuel's accent. But I can't find anything like it.

Anyone got any ideas please?

lots of records free.. You could send them query... are you sure on surname as seems no Mcminn
on 1851... etc records  Ancestory says its..

Good Luck with your search.. I had the similar issue with my grt grt grt grandmother... took me a year to solve...

It's not mentioned on Genuki --- you can try bits of the word in the irish townlands site; Just identify whether it's the beginning, end or anywhere in the name!

I have had a go, but nothing obvious comes up. Maybe he was being really specific and it was an area of a townland or something.

There is a marriage announcement (FMpast) newspapers for Samuel McMINN and Mary Jane POTTER.
I think this is the correct marriage???

Says Samuel was the only surviving son of Samuel McMinn of Cootehill Co. Cavan Ireland.

Thank you all for your suggestions. 

Maureen, that is the couple -you've cracked it! I see where the 'van' bit came from. And Wikipedia mentions 'the island of Ireland' so that solves that. I think the enumerator had a hard job "translating" and put down any old thing!
And you've found his Dad too!
