Mary Ann Combes - Lymington, Hampshire

Hi All,

I have a total  brick wall & I can't get through/over/under it!

Mary Ann Combes b1834 married Arthur John Habens in 1860 (23/9/1860, Alverstoke, Hampshire. Father named as James Coombes). I can trace her with her husband on every census from 1861 onwards. In every census she gives her place of birth as Lymington (bar one, which is given as Alverstoke).

I can find one baptism for a Mary Ann Coombes in Hampshire, but her father was William & her marriage certificate is readily available online. I am even struggling to find a James Coombes.

Could someone please cast their expert eye over this & see if I am missing something!

Mary Ann Combes b1834

1871 has her born c1844 not 1834.  There is a Mary living with father James & sister Martha that I mentioned in 1851

I have moved over to my computer tree & found I had the correct details on there. She gave the same age two census' running! I have now found her baptism & parents marriage. I don't think I have looked at this line for some time. Some of my research is 17 years old now!
