Alexander Gibson

Alexander Gibson b1839 in Dromore and married Sarah Beck in 1858.  Alexander's father was John Gibson but I can find no record of a John Gibson, nor any record of Alexander's mother.  Alexander was my Gt. Gt. Gt grandfather.  His other children were William b1859, John b 1862 and Sarah b1869 in Dromore, his son Alexander was born in Glasgow in 1864, where Alexander and Sarah moved to.

Remember, civil registration of births only started in Ireland in 1864, so for earlier dates you will have to look for baptisms in church records. Civil registration of non-Catholic Marriages started in Ireland in 1845.
