Re Martin family
« on: Wednesday 10 March 21 04:02 GMT (UK) »
I am at a loss with my Martin family. I have copy of a marriage certificate for Joseph Martin to Maria Ann Stradling. It has his parents as John and Elizabeth and his birth place as Bastow England.
If anyone can help I would be grateful

They got married in Geelong Victoria Aus in November 1860. It looks like it says in the Church of Scotland.

Joseph appears to be onboard "Sir Edward Parry" in 1852 arriving in Vic, Australia with a number of other Martins, listed as coming from Cornwall. Is this the man you are looking for?

He appears to have a wife with him - Ann.
