Winifred Emma Knell

I have all info about her date of birth 08.09.1895 born in Birchington Kent, parents Frederick and Ada. living with her parents in 1901, with her grandmother Swan in 1911, and 1939 in Finchley,
on the 1939 her name is crossed out and Pollard is written
I have not found any marriage to a Pollard nor date of death is this name.
A second pair of eyes would be much appreciated please.

Interesting, wonder if she really married Pollard and if they had any children, although she was 39+ at the time it still is a possibility.

However I cannot find a death for Emma Babbs, or Charles for that matter.

I did find the following death Winifred Pollard born 1895 death Q4/1983 Oxford, Oxfordshire Vol 20 Page 84

Sadly no GRO search for births available between 1957 & 1984.

No marriage to a Pollard either?

Hope this does not confuse too much but I am sure others may be able to add something.

She is with her children in 1939, born first qtr 1899

Marriage image suggests she was 19 at the time of marriage in 1918 and father recorded as Edward Knell

This Emma Knell is not Winifred Emma Knell.

Normally when those adjustments are done there is date against them.  I wonder if she was just living with a Mr Pollard so no official change of surname.  That may also account for the death registration in both surnames.  If she died in hospital the death certificate may not help.

Thank you everyone for your help, her death date has been found but whether or not she married Pollard is questionable.
