How about 1937-1943?

I've remembered a couple of photos of my uncles's weddings, both 1943. One was a full veil, etc. and the other wore a hat. 

I'll go look for the one with the veil and put it up for restoration. I've done the other one  ;D

The man on the left is wearing a suit that is very like my Dad's demob suit from 1947 but could be a bit earlier.  As Carol said, fashion didn't change much during the war years.

Just found a small one of the 1938  wedding that I mentioned earlier. This is a small snip.  I have a larger restored version but it's on my Mac  ;D

PS - he was the nephew of my nain - on my avatar  :)
