Philip Kaplan - born 1921, Chicago, Illinois
« on: Sunday 14 March 21 14:16 GMT (UK) »
Connected to previous requests, a quick one regarding the other side of the family and that of Philip Kaplan.

Born 19 March 1919 in Chicago, Illinois, Philip is one of three brothers alongside Charlie and Leo to Benjamin and Sophie Kaplan (Sophie also had six miscarriages).

Ben was a carpenter and all three sons served in the US Forces, moving to Detroit, Michigan in the early 1900.

Philip passed away in 2000, in Detroit so, I'm hoping I can get information regarding his family, parents, grandparents, origins

Thanks as always for great support, appreciated.

I seriously love how Jackie's nickname for her younger brother literally stuck from birth through to present day - Skip is actually (*)!!

Charles Kaplan was 1st married to Ethel Alter in 1941. The sons listed in his obit are through his marriage to Ethel. Ethel was still alive and married to Charles in 1978, per her brother Edward's obit.

Ethel with family in 1930/1940.

The Kaplan family was living at Clements Ave. in the 1940 census.
