Thank you for that it does explain quite a bit as some of the family are listed in Lewknor, Chinnor and Thame. So I presume they should all come under Aston Rowant.
Thanks everyone for helping I have now ordered Catherine’s death certificate

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Catherine GUNTRIP was buried at Aston Rowant 2 Feb 1851.   Her abode is shown as Kingston Stert.

You won't find her burial on Ancestry as it must have been mistranscribed or simply missed - I've found it using my trusty OFHS transcript CD and then looking for an entry close to her burial to see the image on Ancestry.

Thank you for that, that’s the problem there is so many interpretation for Guntrip I have really been struggling. Don’t suppose you found a death for Joseph? That’s why I wanted to know what the registration district would be for Kingston Stret as I presume that was where he died and I was going to look through the records, also does Kingston Blount come under Aston Rowant records as I was going to look for Joseph’s birth somewhere around 1775

No - no death for Joseph, that I could see.   Looking at an Ordnance Survey Map, Kingston Blount does not have a church, so the nearest parish would be Aston Rowant.   Kingston Stert is actually nearer to Sydenham, but Catherine was buried at Aston Rowant, so maybe this was the church that the couple used?   There are really 4 churches in the vicinity; Aston Rowant, Lewknor, Sydenham and Chinnor, the first three were in Thame Registration District at the time you are interested in and Chinnor was in Wycombe.   You would need to investigate whether they were all in operation at the time.

Hi, i seem to have drawn a blank as i went through the Oxfordshire death register that is on Ancestry but couldnt find him only Guntrip died in 1820 so dont think that was him. Beginning to think this one \i have received must be him but the registras district is Brill and will have to see if I can find an Eliza Guntrip in the tree. Also went through the Oxfordshire birth register for Aston Rowant to see if I could fid his birth with no sucess. Thinking of giving up but thanks very much for your help

Just to let you know I have now received the death certificate for Catherine Guntrip and she is the WIDOW of Joseph Guntrip Shoemaker  so it was worth sending for. It will teach me not to take notice of what other people have put on their tree as most people have his death as 1852 good job I always double check everything.
Thanks everyone for your help
