Is it possible for the restorers to clean up this photo of the gravestone of my wife's paternal grandparents?

If it  is not possible, I would not be suprised.

japeflakes, I am not suprised that you found the lettering to far gone. I had great difficulty reading it which is why I asked, but did not know if it could be cleaned.

matthewj64, thank you for those hi res photos, better than I have seen before.

Mike, thank you for letting me download those hi res pictures.

I might have to go to the cemetery and have a good look myself, and take some photos.
