More HP printer problems
« on: Monday 15 March 21 16:45 GMT (UK) »
I've been trying to print a photo on my HP printer, the problem is that it's printing about two inches of the top of the picture and about an inch of the bottom, nothing in between. I've turned it off and on again, also unplugging it, followed the procedure for aligning the print head which was okay. Still it continues.

Any ideas please anyone?

Do you do a print preview before printing?

Just thinking ~

Does it appear to print the whole page or does it jump between beginning and end?

Is the part that does print different from the middle - e.g. is it black compared with coloured?

I haven't watched it but from the sound it makes it's as if it's printing the whole page.  The middle part is just the pristine paper, the other bits are printed normally.

I haven't tried a page of text, will try that.

Also check you have selected the correct paper in the print preferences.

From memory, this sounds like a printer software related issue if you have checked you have the right paper, ink, settings and tried the old turn on/off trick.
