Pace family 'of Malta'
« on: Tuesday 16 March 21 09:54 GMT (UK) »
I have a Lawrence Pace marrying in Hampshire in 1951 and dying in 1989, birth 27/08/1927 - so not born in Hampshire, or England.  One of his children was given the name Emanwela Pauline Rosita Pace, the other's first name looks traditionally English.

Lawrence's parents are Mr & Mrs Paul Pace 'of Malta'.

I have been using this site, from another rootschatter, but nothing this time that I can see:
https://web.archive.org/web/20180507182524/http://website.lineone.net/~stephaniebidmead/other%20sites.htm

Any other suggestions, his birth, anything about his parents.

I was first thinking from a military family, born anywhere, and then served in WW2 and married thereafter, but if that birth date is accurate, too young.
Next idea, visiting relatives as there are Pace families in the area, but there are in most areas, whilst doing military service after war, or not.
Father Paul could be Paulo, and he could have been Laurence...

Thanks for any input.

If the father or mother of the groom is dead, the newspaper frequently puts e.g. 'Mrs and the late Mr Paul Pace of Malta'.  I know they mix things up, but just in case he is still alive in 1951.

However, the other bits do hang together really well, and give me lots to look at. Added bonus of a picture.

Thank-you.

Also on the lsit of dead 1942 was a Silvana Cassar age 7 (neice?)

So given the Anthony who married in OZ, seems to be a connection given his Parents names.
