Thanks for those look ups, Aghadowey, it's definitely making sense why I was seeing gaps when looking in the catholic baptism records specifically.

So having looked through the list you helpfully provided, it'd seem the order of birth for Henry and Sarah's children is as follows:

Patrick
Charles
Michael
William Henry
James Joseph
Bridget
Francis
Sarah Anne

Some of the others were the children of a John O'Neill and a Peggy-Anne Convery - who may also be related in some way, but that's a thread for another day!

Don't know how I missed that one, Heywood! Must have just had a brain-skip when doing the searches. Thanks for looking it up for me! I was also using a list of burials in the local lavey parish - that source must also have gaps in it.

Aghadowey, thanks for the link - that's going to make things a lot easier, I feel!  ;D
