What regiment from photo
« on: Tuesday 16 March 21 16:22 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone suggest which regiment this soldier was in?
I have it said through the family that he was serving with KOSB, but looks like signals on his sleeve. Photo would be about 1943.

His collar badge identifies him as a KOSB soldier.  The signal flags are a badge showing he had qualified as a signaller in the KOSB.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,

You might want to put your photo on the Photo Restoration Board for a clean and tidy:

Definitely King’s Own Scottish Borderers as my friend Max has pointed out.  For your interest here is an image of the collar badge that you can see in the photo.

It’s a cracking photo Max, as well as the collar badges the KOSB shoulder title is visible, and also a divisional formation sign showing the Lion of Scotland.
Best regards,
