His birth registration:
Ephraim Stearn PETTIT March qtr 1859 at Chesterton (3b/481), mmn STEARN.

William PETTIT married Ann STEARN registerd at Chesterton Sep qtr 1848 (14/63). Married at Histon 16 July 1848, his father John PETTIT.

There is an article, with photos, of Ephraim's two sons George and William after being taken prisoner in Germany in 1915. Happy to send you a copy if you haven't seen it. Also a detailed obit and description of his funeral in 1915 and a few other mentions in newspapers. Happy to transcribe later (have to go out now  ;) )
