the John Thomas in Chesterfield gives his date of birth as 13 October 1894 on the 1939 register.

The one born Matlock has dob of 16 Aug 1891 on his baptism but 26 March 1892 on school admissions, both with father Enoch.

I did not have access to the FindMyPast to see details I thought he was the Matlock JTW so we could be looking at the Matlock JTW coming up here. In 1939 I now find his possible daughter Violet in 25 Cedarwood Avenue Tynemouth but I don’t know who else lives there plus JTs birth is 1887

The JTW born 1887 appears to be the one who married Violet Thirkle sept qtr 1912 Morpeth vol 10b pg 1874. 10 possible children registered at Tynemouth and 1 at Morpeth. There is a Violet Elizabeth amongst them. She married in dec qtr 1943. Her death was registered in 2003 and her date of birth was given as 26 Sept 1919.

you can search the 1939 register by date of birth on Findmypast or Ancestry. I've just checked for a John Wilson with dob 16 August 1891. There is only one and he's in Tynemouth. I can only check as far as the index for you.

It would appear that he's the one born in Matlock.
