Miss Hudson, The Laurels, Parkstone, Dorset
« on: Thursday 18 March 21 14:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I collect old postcards and have one posted in 1905 to a Miss Hudson, The Laurels, Parkstone, Dorset.  The postcard starts "My D.- M   So could be my dear M...

I am interested to learn anything about Miss Hudson and/or the address.

She is not a relative, I am just curious about the recipient of this very old post card.

Welcome to Rootschat

Rootschat is really for researching your family history not hobbies

However - you can use the 1901 & 1911 censuses to find that address and see whether anybody named Hudson lived there at that time.  If you live in the area you can use Electoral registers available at the records office (when they re-open)

The records office may also be able to provide information on the history of The Laurels at that time or you may find something using Google

A Subscription is needed to search the census by address via Ancestry or FindMyPast.  You can then use earlier censuses to trace her ancestry

Only one female Hudson living in Parkstone in 1901 & she was a widow at a different address
