Arthur Hywel Roberts : born 1894 in Corwen, Merionethshire

Trying to find a second marriage for this chap.  His first wife died in childbirth in 1926 but their only son apparently has 4 half siblings.  Presumably Arthur remarried at some point and they are either his children or they are the children of his second wife.

Any help would be appreciated.

I believe he might have married Emily Ackling Hughes (1898-1926) on Mar 1921 Corwen, Merionethshire...but i don't know whether 1st or 2nd marriage.

Do you know what his father's name is?  Do you have the certificate from his first marriage or his birth certificate for his full date of birth?

If you have his full date of birth you may be able to find him on the 1939 Register.

The marriage in 1921 is his first marriage to Emily Ackland Hughes - she died in 1926.  His father was I believe John ROBERTS born ABT 1858 • Garth, Denbighshire, Wales and I think his mother was Catherine Jane JONES born 3 JUL 1863 • Bryn Eglwys, Denbighshire, Wales, death OCT 1943 • St Asaph, Denbighshire, Wales.

I have a copy of the birth certificate for the only son from his first marriage; however I am doing the research for a friend and he doesn't want to have to keep paying out for copies of certificates.  I don't think I am going to find him without tracking down this second relationship.

Okay that's understandable.  It does cost money to buy certs.  As Arthur was born in 1894 his cert can be obtained as a pdf which would cost £7 from the GRO.

I believe his son from his first marriage is probably still alive as I couldn't find him on the 1939 Register.  I found a man with all the relevant initials living in Oswestry in Shropshire.

Married in 1951 in same place as he is currently living.

Elizabeth B Edwards is the name on of bride FS attached to the 1930 wedding as GG mentioned above.
