William Havers, Westhall
« on: Saturday 20 March 21 10:44 GMT (UK) »
Hello all.
I wonder if anybody can help.  In my research, I have got to a William and Mary Havers at Westhall (near Halesworth, Suffolk) in the early 18th century.
According to my 'Find My Past' catalogues, they had a few children.  Three of which were baptised William.
1 = bapt.  1 Nov 1736
2 = bapt.  10 Mar 1737
3 = bapt.  29 May 1739

I understand that lots of children died young, and they consequently renamed the next son by the same name etc etc.   And I also realise that the babies were not necc bapt immediately after the birth.
But I just wondered if anyone had more detailed records of these particular baptisms that could shed light on this matter.
So, there were 4 William Havers listed in the village around that time  (the Father, and the 3 mentioned sons).    But I only have 2 burials ....  one in 1765, and one in 1770.

Thanks in advance anybody.
Paul
