If it's any help, Ray, this is a photo of a little boy in the 1901s. This is from a thumbnail as the main photo is on another machine, so I had to enlarge. It was taken in 1904-ish and my Uncle was 3-4. Note that he's wearing a little dress. Sailor-type dress was also popular then  :)

PS - I'm Welsh so I'll wait a bit longer  :)

OK; 6 Nations watched (commiserations Gadget), this mornings hilly walk undertaken, lunch devoured  and census form completed!

This is him at work, reputedly in the 1920s. He was born in 1899 and I have a 'photo of him at a very young age wearing the aforementioned frock.

Apologies for the size of the original photo, hope this one turns out smaller.

Notice the similarity of the hairstyle.

Same hair growth. Have you got a pic of your father?

PS - as we've said, boys didn't wear clothes like that in the early 1900s

Yes, I thought about posting the two I have of him as a child but I don’t think either would help.

On one, he is wearing a cap sitting front of the Forth bridge and, on the other he doesn’t have any hair, in fact, you’re half right insofar as he isn’t wearing any clothes!

I’ll have a dig around but don't hold your breath.
