All certainly seems to fit the family dynamics so to speak, given all the previous entries from contributors and yourself.

There is also an interesting case to do with the mortgage on the property where John HOLT and subsequently his daughter Mary Ann BIRD carried out their grocer business in 1896. It's too long to transcribe here, but happy to send you a copy if you are interested.

My Great GrandUncle is Henry Walter Bird. B.1857. D1935 Australia.
His parents were John Barnett Bird, Elizabeth Parker.
Married Mary Ann Holt in 1880 Hardingstone .They had two children John Earl Bird, George Holt Bird.
He left his Wife c.1883 and departs fo Australia.
Mary married Harry Middleton and had one Daughter Grace Eva.

I have NO information of his life or new family in Australia and would really appreciate any information that anyone has on Henry Walter Bird.
I can supply all information on his family in England.  Thank You. :)

Hi
The two pages of this thread deal with the possible life and family of Henry Walter BIRD.

Some of the  discussion has revolved round 'other people's' research and, as far as I can see, there is not a certificate of any sort mentioned to support the information.

No-one has really been able to confirm this is the right man, let alone whose were all the children attributed to him.  There was not a registered marriage to Mary Ellen KENELY and that is why her death is recorded twice, once as BIRD 1951/003245 and once as KENELY 1951/003245
https://www.familyhistory.bdm.qld.gov.au/#

As he is part of your family, if you want some kind of confirmation, you would need to download his death certificate.

This is what a correctly completed Queensland Death certificate will show.
His parents' names were not known, but there may well be other details to help clearly identify him, depending on the knowledge held by the informant.

Name
Date
Death place
Age
Occupation
Cause of death
Parents' names
Spouse names
Marriage details
Chns names
No of chn
Birthplace

Cost about $22 Aust. See here.

I also have been searching for information on Henry Walter Bird - Great Grandfather, but when searching the death records on the website for Queensland it does not mention father or mother and so I am reluctant to order the death certificate.
As per below -
Death registration:

Henry Walter Bird

Death date: 11/11/1935
Mother's name: -
Father/parent's name: -
Registration details: 1935/C/4357

Am I correct in thinking this?
I am more than happy to order the certificate but it seems pointless if this information is not listed.

I do know that he was not married as my mother had me that her father William Tasman Bird was terribly upset when he found out that his mother and father were not married.
