Me too..I agree with everything said...
Having been pointed in the direction of RC some years ago I’ve never looked back..
To Sarah and Trystan and all my virtual and real friends on here as well I wish you all well... for your constant help and support...
Trystan started the diary thread at the very beginning and it’s been a life line for me and many others...

Well my apologies to Trystan, in my somewhat be -fuddled mind I was giving the credit to Roobarb, who has led us pretty much all through.
But gratitude to all contributors .
So many thanks Trystan  and not forgetting Sarah of course.

RootsChat  is like a friend dropping in,but better than the local newspaper from which that quote is taken ,free!
And you can answer back!Immediately.!

Seriously though it has been truly uplifting and the next best thing to visitors .
Thanks again .
Viktoria.

I am joining in the clap too👏and would like to say a big Thank You to Trystan, Sarah and the Moderators.  I really appreciate that you started and keep this place running so smoothly for us all.

I like that RootsChat feels so 'personal' and a community with familiar regulars popping in and out all the time.  The diary thread is a great idea too with a real sense of support and friendship on there.  Thank you to my fellow diarists and love and appreciation to you all.  :-* Roobarb and Caroline in particular deserve thanks for their dedication in keeping this thread running.👏
Thank you to online friends on other boards too.

This year has been a tough one for so many and we have all been looking for ways to get us through .. RootsChat is so much more than a family history forum and I think for so many of us on here this has played no small part in getting us through.  RootsChat is brilliant!  Long may this continue!  :D

I whole-heartedly agree, but I'd also like to include all RCs who give so willingly of time and information when it is requested.  This has been a year like no other that any of us can remember - but I do believe that, in a lot of cases, it has produced a sense of community and family.  So MY candle/smiley face/applause goes to ALL of you! :) :-*
