Google stopped working

On my Samsung tablet Android I'm getting the message Google has stopped working, also Email has stopped,
Google Play services and briefing has stopped.

Google is working fine through Chrome.
OK. I'm rather confused by what to do to sort it.
If I clear cache and data as some pages suggest will I lose anything.

I really don't know about the Force Stop , can anybody help me please.

It is a known fault. Google have supplied the following full instructions to get things fixed:

• To update Android System WebView and Google Chrome via Google Play:

• Navigate to Play Store app

• Search for Android System WebView

• Select the "Update" option

I have found the Play Store app, but can`t find  the  two last  bits.

I`ve also reset my email account , it received one email but has stopped again.

i went to google playstore then my apps, the apps were there with update next to them. Haven’t checked after updating to see if they are all working ok though

Do you mean the Play Store where you can download an app. I was looking in the settings section on my tablet.

You need to update the App via Google Play Store

From Play store I downloaded Messenger lite, it's working so far so good,  the Facebook linked one isn't.
I set up another email account with BT,  so thats OK, so far so good. 
I also downloaded a Google , is it Lite , fingers crossed. 

So if I go ahead and install your suggestion will that be OK.
I'm really quite useless so appreciate your help.🙂
