Samuel Relton
« on: Tuesday 23 March 21 12:37 GMT (UK) »
In 1911 Samuel Relton [52] was living in Impington with his wife Ann Elizabeth [51]
The census records Samuel born Huntingdon and Ann Elizabeth Pontefract Yorks.
Married 7 years ... no children.
In 1913 Annie Relton died, Impington. In 1816 Samuel Relton married Elizabeth Norman, Chesterton

i THINK, i'm not sure, that Samuel's parents were Thomas and Jane Relton and the family lived in Woodhurst nr St Ives Huntingdonshire.

Have I found the correct Samuel Relton and can anyone see his marriage to Ann (Annie)?

Could he be the 1881 entry shown as b Lincs & working in Lincs?

Where is he in 1891 & 1901?

Interestingly the 1881 census you refer to has Samual born Wood xxxxx Lincs. (maybe Woodhurst).
I think that maybe it could be him.
I found the 1891 census (Woodhurst) with Samuel (1855) living with William. If it is him, it's odd that his birth is Huntingdon and not Woodhurst. and his age is five years adrift.
In 1901 (Woodhurst) Samuel (1855) is still living with William .... birth Woodhurst. ??

He's still with Thomas and Jane in 1871 but then seems to disappear until 1911.

1871
RG10/1529/110/16

PS - the 1861 and 1871 fits with his age better than the one with father William

Can't find a marriage to Elizabeth Ann.  The 1891 & 1901 entries with father William both show him as single which would support a marriage around 1903 and his occupation in both 1901 and 1911 is the same

It might be that you will have to get the 1916 marriage cert to find out his marital status and father's name.
