Hardwick - Wakefield Burials 1884-1895 *COMPLETED*

I am looking for the burials/graves of John Hardwick (1812 - 8 MAR 1884), a woolsorter, and his wife, Betty (1816 - abt. 1895), of Clarendon-street, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. They are probably buried at the Church of St. John the Baptist on Wentworth Street in Wakefield alongside John Hardwick's father, James.

Ancestry records for St John the Baptist only go as far as 1865.  :'(

Looking at the holdings for West Yorkshire Archive Service - Collections Guide 1 - Parish Registers.  Burials at St John the Baptist, Wakefield = 1795 to 1865.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Wakefield Council cemetery records are online, though not all are indexed.

I've just had a look for John (in an unindexed volume) and found him in the Unconsecrated part of the council cemetery. Start at:

Pick Search by Cemetery, then in the dropdown Wakefield (Unconsecrated) and 1859-1890. He can then be found on page 221.

It's quite likely that Betty will be buried with him, but I'll let you browse for her in the same way - particularly since you don't have an exact date of death for her.
