Loking for Info on John & Sarah Dean, Dalston Lane, Middlesex, London
« on: Wednesday 24 March 21 23:19 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

I'm trying to find more information on relations of mine what I know so far is:

John (Jonathan) & Sarah Dean listed on the 1851 UK Census at 18 Dalston Lane, Middlesex, London. John listed as a retired builder.

At least 3 children: Marylebone, Middlesex I have found 2 children baptised in the Anglican Church there to a John & Sarah Dean, children baptised 1812 & 1813 - John Dean (1812) & William Abraham Dean (1813)

Also a Charles Dean, (Charles married a Maria de Jesus Barriga y Rodriguez in Iglesia La Catedral, Cartagena, Colombia on November 03, 1831).

If anyone knows how I could find more information on if John or Sarah had any more children, please let me know.

I believe my ancestor was a daughter of theirs who married a man called John Smith either in England or in Ireland - so also seeking a marriage record between a John Smith and a woman with surname Dean or baptism records of children with Surname Smith and mother's maiden name 'Dean'.

The John and Sarah you are looking for lived in Hackney. There is a marriage of a Jonathan Dean to a Sarah Rowley 24 February 1815 in Hackney.

1851 Directory Jonathan is at Dalston Green
1862 Electoral Register he is at Dalston Green
His death 11 August 1866 of 8 Durham Place formerly of Dalston Green probate to widow Sarah.

I don't think the children found are for your Jonathan and Sarah. One the father is a servant not a builder (although occupations can change) Two the children predate the marriage.

1841 census Kingston Row Hackney
Jonathan Dean 52 bricklayer
Sarah 47 wife

neither born in county

1861 he says he was born Cheshire, in 1851 it was Lancashire.
Sarah is consistent - born Staffordshire

What was the name of this daughter,  when was she born
