From the GRO her mother's maiden name was McGuiness

Well a Martha Maud Marshall was baptised in Withington, Manchester on 1 June 1874 - born April 4th 1874.

Parents William and Winifred Marshall.

William's occupation looks like 'Shopman'.

Burial 6th June 1874 at Withington St Paul, but oddly shown as 7mths old! (Maybe it's the wrong child but year and name fit) but others have found Winifred marrying a John!

The baptism and burial are from the Manchester records on Ancestry.

The actual baptism image shows it was a Private Baptism, suggesting that she wasn't well enough to be taken to the church.

The burial image shows age 7 weeks
On the burial image is also Winifred Marshall age 28 of Withington buried 16th May.

A William Hamnett Marshall was registered  1872 in Chorlton  also with mmn McGuiness  Haven't worked out if he survived yet. Can't find any more in Chorlton or elsewhere
