Ratcliffe Bury
« on: Sunday 28 March 21 12:02 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for a possible marriage between Thomas Ratcliffe and Hancock, I think it's Elizabeth.
There are 3 children with mmn Hancock, Elizabeth 1846,John1850 and Thomas 1848 but I can't find a marriage for their parents.
If I'm correct, Thomas appears in India (Corporal Thomas Ratcliffe, 19th Bengal, Royal Artillery). I'm also wondering where his sign up papers are, I have taken a look but can't see any? He married Honoria Burke in Agra 1866.

That marriage names his father as Richard Ratcliffe

Thanks for looking, I think I am following the wrong family. I had, daughter Elizabeth Ratcliffe born Oldham 1845/46. Parents Elizabeth born Ireland and Father Thomas Born Warrington a joiner,1851 census Salford. No sign of them in 1861, maybe they died or Elizabeth married? I can't find a marriage for parents or baptism for their daughter Elizabeth, I thought there maybe more children too.
