Thanks for offer Errato
I can't copy document except as screenshots I managed to post that clip so I could try and get it on full page

Sandra thanks ; that shows he did have bad reputation
Where is the reference ?

I've checked the death records  and small print does say Bessie NESS is divorced wife. Second wife Ella  had predeceased him ..so maybe I should change title and not slander him .

I think it's clear enough.  I'll get started on it after I get supper organized.

I think I've worked out mutual consent
And who lived in town of Brooklyn state of New York

You don't have to do it all

I am interested in knowing what the document is

and the bit about the witnesses and whether it says Bessie FELLMAN s  father Lazar is dead

Meanwhile i.ll see if I can find  Max NESS

Thanks Sandra
Another gem

I really meant where did you find the information about Ely NESS dodgy Japan deals

A contact on Ancestry who knew the NESS family  thinks he may have been involved in a ring or organisation to smuggle Jewish people into USA.
She can't find any evidence of Ella in Connecticut either

But I doubt the marriage to Ella could have been one of convenience as he made several journeys with her starting in 1926 from Manchester
