Death of a Morton Fen man
« on: Monday 29 March 21 09:24 BST (UK) »
Trying to find when John Melbourn died, he married Sara Ann and lived in Spalding Marsh at one time where they had a daughter, then in 1901 he was living in Morton Fen and in later years Sarah Ann a widow was living in Green Lane, Spalding with the daughter Elizabeth.

and in later years Sarah Ann a widow

How much later?  When do you first see her as a widow to narrow down a death for John.

What year was John born, did they just have the one child that you know of?

Was Elizabeth born 1898 and Sarah 1875 to make sure have the right family.

Sorry am not finding them in 1901  :-\

If that is the right Elizabeth birth registered as Milbourn mothers name Randell is that correct?

John Thomas Melbourn was baptised in Bourne on 8th December 1870, son of Henry and Elizabeth

He married Sarah Ann Kendall om 8th February 1897 in Langtoft as Milbourn - address for both was St Michael's, Langtoft.

Elizabeth's birth on GRO with mmn of Randall

The only death that almost fits was John Tom in Wisbech in 1941, which almost fits with his birth, but not the marital status on the register.

We have two John Thomases who both married Sarahs (Betts and Kendall)
The one who married Sarah Betts could not have been baptised on 8 Dec 1870 if birthdate correct in 1939

Thanks for replies, don't think the one Tom who died in 1941 at Wisbech is the one though. Age of births of Thomas baptised at Bourne 1870 & Sarah 1875 & Elizabeth in 1898 a year after the marriage at Langtoftis OK. Just don't have his death but she is a widow living in Spalding with Elizabeth. Confused by the name Randell on Elizabeths birth cert as they had been married before her birth, was it that she was pregnant by another man named Randell?
