16 children died Barnsley Hall 1908

I was sent this article when researching STOTT family

I don't know if these siblings are relations
 
The other Surnames mentioned are MOSLEY  + Cartwright
COUSINS

It's so sad .

Killed or injured  in a crush watching a penny show

Cinema was in its infancy then
A penny show would have been quite a lot of money

My cousin has a DNA match to STOTTs who may be related

there is a Hardy  STOTT on one tree it's an unusual first name

Is there a  list of the other children who died ?

Are there any relatives out there ??

I just found that STOTT tree has cut portraits of the two siblings and used as profile picture for the siblings who died holding hands

The children are very young to be going to a cinema hall alone
Aged 3-8

Though that last  article  also gave details of older siblings who escaped

& The story of the brother who decided to spend his pocket money on sweets instead of the show

Maybe  the majority of dead were tots because more vulnerable in a crush

There is something strange about the "portraits " of the children
Nellie Swift s looks like a typical photo

Are the others photos of really good drawings or could they be photos taken after death was that practice still used in 1908

I've posted one picture on photo forum to ask their opinions... awaiting approval .
