This is a court amendment regarding a child birth, surname Schornstaedt

What christian names, Child, Mother?
what place, Sanlin?
There is something clipped off on the left.
A bit more info would help
Dave

Just realized that this is a side notation on a birth cert.
Please post the whole document

Thanks Dave!!

I didn't post the entire birth record. It had the mother listed as unmarried. I'm not sure I can post it, it's watermarked from the Polish government. I'll check and if I can post it, I will do so shortly.

There is nothing else from this margin note that is not photographed though, what's visible on the left is the standard birth record.

Christian name - Child - Ferdinand Heinrich
Mother's name - Auguste (possibly Schornstaedt or Schultz). Both surnames are in the actual record.
Placed - Woedtke Germany. Record found in Saulin (Salino Gdansk)

I think it's ok to post this. It's not the entire document, just the part with pertinent information.

My apologies if I am incorrect.

Thank you again David.

Hi
here´s my 2 cents
b.t.w. there is no Schultz in this record. The mother´s name in the original record is Schorstein.

No 2

Aufgrund des Beschlusses
des königlichen Landge-
richts zu Stolp vom 21sten
Dezember 1897 wird br-
richtigend vermerkt
daß der Familiennamen
der Mutter des nebenstehen-
den eingetragenen Kindes
Schornstaedt ist und
daß das Kind am dreizig
sten, 30, Dezember des
Jahres tausend acht hun-
dert siebzig und vier
vormittags um zwei
einhalb Uhr geboren
ist.
Saulin den 31sten Dezember 1897
der Standesbeamte
Th. Casper

according to an amendment of the royal county court of Stolp from the 21st December 1897
will be noted that Schornstaedt is the surname of the registered childs mother
and that the child was born on the 30th December 1874 at 2am
Saulin
December 31st, 1897
the registrar Th. Casper

If you want a transcription of the original record let me know
Dave

Thank you so much David!! It all makes perfect sense. We thought Schorstein was an error.

(Schulz was the mother's name in the child's marriage record years later. Perhaps it was her married name. It's so hard to read this old script.)

If you have the time to transcribe the birth record too, that would be great. We tried our best but we could have errors.

If you don't mind, I'm going to post the small portion of the child's marriage record where Schulz is mentioned. We could not figure out the word before that name, it must be something to do with her marrying a Schulz individual at some point.

Thanks again!! This is wonderful!

Well done, Dave! I was struggling with this one.  :)

I think the missing word could be nebenstehenden.

Best regards,
Karen
