“Trying to find out what happened to them”  I think we can safely say they are dead 😀. If they were baptising children as early as 1784 they were presumably born in the 1760’s.   If they aren’t on the 1841 census - then they died pre-1841

There is Free Access to Ancestry this week-end.

Looks for variations of the surname MAUL - had a quick look - seems there are variations of the surname including MALL.

Where did the children live - as many times an old parent moves to be with the children.

Checked with the Forest of Dean Family History website - and just for info there is this marriage by Licence (two copies) for

12 October 1759

William MAUL - aged 25, Batchelor, Yeoman
residence: Coberley

Mary HOWS - aged 25, Spinster,
residence: Coberley

by Licence - he marks

Marriage Allegations -

the Licence gives a witness: John WRIGHT a Yeoman of Coberley

The groom and John WRIGHT are bound in the sum of £500.  To marry at Coberly
