On the family search web site I have found a record for a Sophia Hayden born 20 Feb 1870 and christened 30 May 1870 Sydney NSW.Parents Charles Hayden and Rebecca Waller.

I cannot find any other information on this family . I'm interested in what happened to them.
Thank you

Hi Tracey,

May I please ask some questions...

:) do you have the image or just a transcript of a record?
:) what denomination and which clergyman?
 :)  what occupation for Charles?

You mention you are interested in this family.  Some more questions....
:) what do you already know about Charles and/Or Rebecca?
:) was Sophia an only child?
:) what NSW bdm certs do you already have that give you info that leads you to this baby, Sophia?

1870 New South Wales Electoral Roll for THE GLEBE

No Charles HAYDEN .  None with surname as WALLER.  ..but ... there's a Henry WELLER of Beattie St Balmain enrolled for The Glebe electorate.

I will look further, later.

It is clearly WELLER on that baptism entry. Both times.

This Charles HAYDEN was Catholic.  Unfortunately wife is Elizabeth nιe ROBERTS (I assume as her brother was Mr ROBERTS)

Looking at NSW bdm online INDEXES ONLY ... so far ...  :(
I have not found Sophia's birth registered in NSW,

I have not found any likely NSW born siblings for Sophia.

Looking at other resources :

I can find a grocer in 1870s in Cumberland Street, Sydney by name of Charles Hayden and as Heydon ...  Cumberland St is at The Rocks, so a very historical  part of the City of Sydney CBD.

DITTO

Looking in trove, There are quite a few mentions of a Charles Hayden in Delegate / Bombala, and his father Henry Hayden who was a grazier there. Don’t even know if this is the right family.
Maybe they moved across to Victoria ? ......
