Attestation Abbreviation Translation help please.

[ALAMO2008]

Pte 119324 William Bulmer Studley   3rd King's Liverpool Regt
His Attestation papers have survived.
It appears he never served abroad.

But was in Army 1915 to 1920

One page states Embarkation 1915 and Disembarked 23 May 1918

Also states " Not Required as T. D. C. 8th R. D."

Any idea what that means please ?

Looks like the 8th Regional Depot was Knowsley Park

Although it's difficult to read between the lines it says
he was put into Army Reserve immediately after attestation
so back to his day job.
It also says his services as a carpenter are not required by the Regt.
The question is why wasn't he posted to a front line Btn. as he was A1 fit.
It may be he was concerned with war work. Aircraft for example were made from wood.
He's then recalled in May 1918 obviously carpenters were required by this time in the UK.
Building huts is one answer but I suppose we'll never know for sure.
