Is your Peter the Peter Augustine Rimmer registered in Dec Q of 1886 in West Derby?

There’s a Peter Rimmer aged 6travelling on the SS Sardinian to Canada in September 1892. He is being sent by Liverpool Catholic ( can’t read the rest) and went to Montreal.

He’s on the British Home Children’s’ Registry.

I can see Frances Mary Blundell born 25 Jan 1852 was baptised at StAnthony RC Church on 1 Feb 1852 parents William and Mary. The godmother is somebody Cooper. The writing is dreadful to read.

That burial for Sarah could well tie in as I think that would be St James RC Bootle.

Thanks everybody for the replies.
Gibel - yes I have Peter Augustine registered in 1886. That's a very interesting piece of information, thank you. I'll follow that up. And yes the writing is atrocious for Frances' godparents! I have John? and Frances Cooper who was her aunt and who appears a few times as godmother for other family members.
As for Sarah Blundell's burial. I have her buried in Sts Peter and Paul Cemetery, Great Crosby. This is where her husband was buried and quite a number of extended family members.

Bootle St James RC doesn’t have a graveyard so looking at burials at St Peter and St Paul where the date more or less match there was probably a service at St James RC as her local church and then she was taken for burial at St Peter and St Paul Crosby.

Do you know what happened to Sarah and her brother William?

There’s a Sarah Rimmer aged 13 on the same ship as Peter. She was also sent by the the Liverpool Catholic C. and was going to Montreal like Peter.

Thank you Gibel, another piece of the puzzle for Sarah. I'd never heard of the British Home Children's Registry so looking forward to going through it. Perhaps the Sarah who left with Peter will help shed light on Frances and her husband.
