Researching a WW1 Soldier
« on: Monday 05 April 21 13:31 BST (UK) »
Like many of you, I have a number of WW1 soldiers on my tree, sadly some killed on the battlefields and others who returned home. Over the years I have researched their lives and written their stories, so I decided to write up a basic research list for those researching maybe a WW1 ancestor for the first time. I have included some useful links as well.

There are lots of useful guides out there, plenty better than mine, but if it helps somebody with their research then great, or of one of the links helps you make a breakthrough then its been worthwhile compiling the blog.

Good luck with your research.

if you have any tips and ideas of your own, please feel free to add them here, or drop the links and I can add them to my list, thanks in advance.
