Our partial 'freedom'
« on: Monday 05 April 21 14:07 BST (UK) »
How wonderful this last week has been.  After all this time, we were able to have a good friend, who lives alone, for a cuppa and a good 'blether' in our garden last Tuesday.  Warm weather and a different face (not that I don't love Himself deeply, but a change is as good as rest as they say!) made such a difference and we all 3 felt so much better.  Then, yesterday, the sunshine was better than we had thought it would be so the visit by our nephew, his wife and daughter was another wonderful experience.  Nephew's wife said that we had to be prepared because, after June 21 we may have difficulty prying ourselves out of her arms.  The other 3 of us said that would be difficult as she is already 'great with child' and we'll all have to join hands to get round her!  So fantastic to be able to laugh and joke with them rather than the 'doorstop visits' which were mainly about ensuring the other side were okay; we worried about them as she is a teacher and he is a worker - and they worried about us because of Himself's surgery for cancer in August.  No doubt others have had such experiences this week too, but isn't it nice to be able to share GOOD news??
