Samuel Evans
« on: Monday 05 April 21 16:48 BST (UK) »
Good afternoon

I am trying to locate my great grand uncle, Samuel Evans in 1891.

He was born in Toddington in 1867 and died in Wandsworth, London on 1924. He married Emily Tapping in 1884 and i can see him in the 1881 and 1901 censuses and in previous and subsequent censuses, but not 1891.

Is anyone able to assist and help me locate him at that time.

Many thanks

Mark Evans

Many thanks

Mark

Have you got Emily in 1891?

What occupation did he have please?  In case he was away from home for work.

Emily and the children are in Norwood but Samuel is not with them.

For some reason my original post of this and the thank you from Mark have disappeared.

Ah I see this is a different board. Also on London & Middlesex board.

Hello Milliepede

I do have Emily and the children in 1891, but no Samuel. Previously on census records he was listed as an agricultural labourer. In 1901 i think it reads General Labourer, but i cannot be certain.

Just strange that he is listed before and afterwards and children are born 1891, 1892 onwards.

I am at a lost to explain.

Many thanks

Mark
