Toxteth Park Workhouse Admission and Discharge Register 1909.
Obviously in there for some sort of medical treatment but what is the final word?

That would be my guess, too.
Many abscesses were connected to the mouth area (teeth and tonsils, for example).
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

 Much better than what I saw which was Reek (and once I've seen it I get a block about other possibles).
