Could this be enhanced to be able to read this information. These are the Japanese prisoner of war camps my father was interned during ww2 all these forms had to be filled in pencil.
Any help would be much appreciated

Thank you very much japeflakes. I know that is not a good clear image but I got it from a FEPO website who have copied all the repatriation questioners filled in by the prisoners on their return to England.

Just darkened the image without enlarging.

Maybe a magnifying glass now would assist!!   ;D

Hmmm - I can read a little more, but . . . .  it is such a small file.  :-\

I wonder if putting this on the armed forces board would help - even not enlarged - someone with a magnifying glass could read more -
I can see that the first two are in Singapore - Changi and ?Rayr(z)e Valley.  The next four all seem to be in Taiwan.

I think one of the people with a special interest in Army movements and prison camps or hospitals might be able to assist.

Either ask for this thread to be moved, ot put up a thread in Armed Forces, with a link to this thread - would that be helpful??

Len

Did you get this from here:

https://fepowhistory.com/uk-national-archives-fepow-records/

I would  think you could get a better copy from them. It also states that they are available from FindMyPast.

Add - if you give full details of the collection, etc., maybe someone would be able to get the details from a better copy.

As far as I can tell this is the collection at the N.A.

https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C9105470

They have not been digitised so the only option would be a visit to the N.A.

and despite what the FEPOW site says**  I can't see this collection listed in the Find My Past Far East POW databases they have  - and no mention on the N.A. description of images available elsewhere, which would be usual.

** EDIT -with apologies to the FEPOW site. This collection isn't in the list they have of databases available at F M P

I had a thorough look too, Boo, and couldn't find it on FindMyPast.  I went through pages and pages of info as well as the most relevant. There were various listings which had details of him but not this particular one.

Len - can you give full details of this collection, please.
