Dourley/Doorley of Moate
« on: Wednesday 07 April 21 01:55 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I am trying to find the baptism of Michael Dourley/Doorley, who died in Widnes, England in 1920, aged 73. The 1911 census tells us that he was born in Moate, Westmeath, c.1848.
His marriage cert. states that his father was Edward Dourley/Doorley. They were R.Catholics.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you, Kiltaglassan, for your swift reply. I have gone through the Moate registers from 1838 to 1853 and there is no mention of a baptism at all of any Dourley/Doorley's.
There is a marriage in 1846 of Edward Doorley to Margaret Heaney which could be Michael's parents. Also, there are lots of Heaney entries, which makes me think that it was the bride's parish but not Edward Doorley's.
